Adult Hip & Knee Reconstruction Surgeon
Dr. Matthew S. Kerr is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction, including advanced techniques for total hip and knee replacement. He is dedicated to helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy through evidence-based surgical care and personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Kerr completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, where he received advanced training in complex hip and knee replacement procedures and modern joint reconstruction techniques. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Orlando Health, one of the region’s leading orthopedic training programs.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, and his undergraduate degree in Microbiology, summa cum laude, from Clemson University, where he graduated at the top of his class.
Dr. Kerr is actively involved in orthopedic research and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications focusing on joint replacement outcomes, surgical techniques, and orthopedic trauma. His work has appeared in leading orthopedic journals including Arthroplasty Today, Injury, and The Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Global Research & Reviews.

Dr. Kerr is trained in several advanced joint replacement technologies and robotic-assisted systems, including MAKO, ROSA, and CORI platforms, allowing him to provide precise, modern joint replacement solutions tailored to each patient.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kerr enjoys spending time outdoors, including golfing, fishing, sailing, and barbecue, and is a lifelong Clemson Tigers fan.
