About Dr. Baskin
As a physiatrist, Dr. Baskin specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of pain-related spinal disorders. He has been board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) and in interventional pain management since 2004.
Before joining the practice, he ran a busy academic practice at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where he led the international spine and pain program and held an academic appointment as associate professor at the Florida International University School of Medicine.
Following his PM&R residency, he completed additional training in interventional spine and pain procedures. He has performed tens of thousands of spinal procedures.
Approach to care
Dr. Baskin uses his spine and musculoskeletal training to find the source of your pain and choose the right line of treatment. He offers fluoroscopy-guided spinal injections for the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, radiofrequency neurotomy, advanced neuromodulation and intradiscal procedures, and he treats thoracic and lumbar compression fractures with kyphoplasty in our in-office procedure suite.
He also treats non-spinal musculoskeletal pain, including hip, shoulder and elbow pain and pain that persists after total knee replacement.
