Approach to care
Surgery is always the last resort. Dr. Martin starts with non-operative care, including medications, injections, physical therapy and bracing, and offers guidance on nutritional supplements. When those measures no longer control your symptoms, he walks you through every elective surgical option.
His experience includes less invasive total and partial hip and knee replacement, arthroscopy, osteotomy, cartilage procedures and joint-preserving surgery, with particular expertise in complex revision of failed hip and knee replacements. His current clinical and research focus is fast-recovery hip and knee replacement (FASTREC).
Dr. Martin also leads P3, the practice's concierge program for hip and knee care.
